I want to purchase this for my dog. I don’t know how to determine his chest size base on the size chart. Where should I measure from? He’s 62 pounds I would get the larger but base on the measurements it’s so so long and the neck seems so big! The medium makes more sense however the neck seems small! This is my dilemma. For chest, wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your dog's ribcage, just behind his front legs, keeping it snug but not tight. That number is what to match against the chest circumference in our chart. The good news here is that the cape fastens with a hook and loop belly strap and a hook and loop closure at the front of the neck, so both the chest and neck openings have some adjustability built in, which gives you a little wiggle room between sizes. When a dog falls between sizes, we generally suggest going with the larger one, and comparing both his chest and his back length (measured along the spine from the base of his neck to the base of his tail) to the chart will help you see which size lines up best overall.
