Kids these days probably don't even know what a sock hop is all about. In fact, if you asked your little one, their eyes would probably glaze over; maybe they'd even look at you like you had five heads? They could also give you a solid answer like: a sock hop is when you put on your favorite pair of socks and hop up and down the block. Like we said, valid answer but that's definitely not the best description of a sock hop. When your toddler finds out what a sock hop actually is, we have a feeling that she'll want to attend because what kid wouldn't want to go to their school gym, toss their shoes to the side, then dance the night away to popular music?
However, sock hops are no longer a thing. Sure, there are still school dances that are held but they don't hold the same sentiment. When your youngster finds out about this misfortunate news, they'll be a little disappointed but their chagrin won't last long because you guys can hold a sock hop in the comfort of your own home. Move the dining room table, rearrange the furniture, and let your living room mimic a school gymnasium!
Once the heavy lifting is done, present your little one with this sock hop cutie costume, complete with poodle skirt and attached polka dot shirt, and let the twisting, turning, and jiving begin. Put on your old records or her favorite jams and you've just created your very own sock hop. Now, you just need a poodle skirt. Luckily, we sell ones in your size too!
