Questions & Answers
Q: sorry if this is a stupid question, but does this actually function as a rain proof umbrella or is it just for costume purposes?

Not a stupid question at all! This umbrella is made from nylon, which is a water-resistant material, so it can function as a real umbrella. It opens with a single button and measures 31 inches in full length, so it's a proper working umbrella with a fun parrot head handle.

Q: Hello. What is the diameter of the opened umbrella?
Is it standard adult umbrella size? (1 Answer)
Is it standard adult umbrella size? (1 Answer)
Asked by Carssall | 7 November 2025
Monster Responds...
The full length of this umbrella is 31 inches, but the canopy diameter when open isn't a measurement we have for it. A standard adult umbrella typically spans around 40 to 42 inches when open, and at 31 inches in total length this one is on the compact side, so the canopy is likely smaller than a full-size adult umbrella.

Q: Can this actually be used in the rain?

Asked by Marita.shopper | 22 September 2025
Monster Responds...
It's a nylon umbrella, so it can handle a light drizzle the way any nylon umbrella would. We designed it as a costume accessory, so we'd treat it more like a fashion umbrella than a heavy-duty rain umbrella for a downpour.
