The 2X has a 49" chest and a pants waist that stretches from 39" to 45.5", so if your chest and waist fall in those ranges, the 2X could work well. If you're closer to the upper end of those numbers, the 3X opens up to a 53" chest and a 43" to 49.5" waist stretch.
