I was told to put something together for the Chinese New Year celebrations, big bad boss said he asked for the Year of the Dragon, it was late last night and I really wasn’t listening! All the same…
Come on fellas, kick off the comfy shoes and squeeze your size 11 feet into a glorious sling-back and then truly discover your feminine side!
We have a Groping Granny costume, her dress flaps open and oh my word! What she has underneath leaves nothing to the imagination! If you fancy our Teeny Weeny Pole Dancer costume you could be enchanted as the puppet figure actually dances. The Ugly Sister has always been a stalwart of the drag community.

Tour The Store
For those of you not ‘in the know’ here at fancydress.com our parent company is Angels The Costumiers.|
Angels provides costumes and uniforms for Film, TV and Theatre all over the world.
Angels launched TOUR THE STORE in late 2010 and it has been a huge success. Groups of up to 12 people spend an hour and a half touring the collection, taking a sneaky peek behind the scenes of the world’s biggest dressing up box.

Angels The Costumiers is based in Hendon NW9, where you will also find our Fancy Dress Outlet and dates for the early part of 2012 have just been announced – Spaces are strictly limited to 12 per tour and are £25 per head - booking is essential. Paint The Whole World With A Rainbow!
Remember, back in the day, you were supposed to be at school – you could convince your Mum that you were too ill to be up and about and then you could stay at home and watch re-runs of Rainbow! Well you grew up and went off to college or uni and then you didn’t have to fake it for your mum, you just stayed at home?!?Here we have Zippy and George from Rainbow, so not only could you skive but you can do it in style. On the other hand you could dress as Rod, Jane and Freddie - all in Rainbow items.

Hi there fancy dressers!
So Christmas flew past faster than Santa on his sleigh! Here we are again revving up for another NEW YEAR!
To get your costume in time for New Year you will need to place your order by the following times.
STANDARD DELIVERY order needs to be received by 2.pm on Wednesday 28 December 2011 EXPRESS DELIVERY your order needs to be with us before 2.pm Thursday 29 December 2011. Make sure you select EXPRESS DELIVERY as you check out.
SATURDAY DELIVERY your order needs to be with us before 2.pm Friday 30 December 2011. Make sure you select SATURDAY DELIVERY as you check out.

Your order from start to finish
To you it’s simple, you browse fancydress.com and after a few clicks your order is placed! Then you just sit there waiting for Mr (or Mrs) Postman to deliver your fancy dress items. However, there is an awful lot of effort going on behind the scenes and we thought you would like to take a sneaky peek!
|
It all starts way before you place your order, we go to various buying fairs all over the world, we also have contacts with manufacturers that we visit and find out what is going to be the next hot thing; we place our orders and wait for their delivery. These come into our warehouse and are counted and checked for quality. |

You then see the items on fancydress.com and after a few clicks they are in your virtual basket, you pay for them and we take over from there. |
|
We print off your orders as they arrive, giving special priority to customers choosing our Express Service. Because our warehouse is so large we split the orders up into different sections – depending on what you want today! |
|
One of team then takes a handful of orders and they work around the warehouse, if we have a costume in small, medium and large we put them in different areas of storage, so that our staff do not mistakenly select the wrong size. |
|
Next the first check happens here the goods are matched against separate orders and then passed along the process where they will be checked a total of three times before they leave us! |
|
Your order is then double-checked by another member of staff, they take the paperwork and its unique barcode is scanned, our system calls up the order and then as each item is scanned it lets us know if we can proceed or not. Our system rings alarms if there are missing or incorrect items. If there is a problem with anything that you have ordered our customer services team takes over and will contact you. |

Triple checking happens as your box is packed, your delivery note is printed at this stage and the goods are then given a final check over. |
|
Once the package is sealed it is stacked onto trolleys, along with all the other orders of the day and wheeled away to our covered dispatch area.
|
|
Finally your goods leave us, we use a variety of carriers depending on where you are located and the size of your order. |
