Putting Chistmas to Bed

Things are still settling down after the Christmas and New Year rush.  Fancy Dress is so very seasonal, Christmas is chocked full of Santas, Elves and a variety of skimpy dressed helpers, a few days later it is all novelty costumes for New Year parties.  Understandably this means we have to revolutionise our whole warehouse twice in one month, as one of the largest suppliers of fancy dress in the country it takes a lot of getting back to normal!  

Unlike a lot of other Fancy Dress sites fancydress.com does have a huge hire section (this is handled in person by our talented staff at our Shaftesbury Avenue Shop).  This year, as always lots of the great and the good have hired Christmas costumes with one Santa making an appearance at 30,000 with a jumbo full of kids on a charity flight.  Another Santa based event happened at a Football club (we think they would not want to be mentioned but they are based in Highbury).  Shaftesbury Avenue report a massive increase in Christmas costume hire, Snow Queens, The Christmas Pudding and Snowmen are amongst the most requested (after Santa!) .  Apparently lots of people are having their picture taken for private Christmas cards.

After all of our Christmas costumes have been on hire, they come back and get a final check over before they are stored away until next Christmas, this starts for us in June when the forward thinking high-street stores start preparing their Christmas marketing images, Ho, Ho Ho!

So that's Christmas over for another year, before you know where we are it will be Valentines day again, I'm going to get my legs waxed as those tights on the cupid costume leave nothing to the imagination.
