Apply a layer of glue to the back of the zip and to the area that you want to have the wound. When the glue goes on it is watery, leave both areas of glue to go tacky and then stick the zip in position. You will not be able to adjust its position. Hold it in place until it is stuck firmly in place.

2
Rip up some tissue and stick the pieces randomly into the centre of the wound. This does not need to be neat, the tissue will soak up the blood and hold it in place, looking all the more revolting!

With the tool provided in the Cut Kit scrape some wax from the pack. Apply this to the top edge of the wound (the bottom edge will be covered by the blood). Do not worry if this looks patchy to start with, when you have added enough wax you can blend it, take a tiny bit of moisturizer (just enough to stop the wax sticking to your fingers) gently blend the edges of the wax, you do not need to be too neat and tidy, a few gaps are no problem.

Using the blue and purple colours from the Palette dab on the colours with your finger and whilst they are wet blend them together a bit to make a bruise.

This is an optional extra step: Cut up some elastic bands, we have used red ones left by our friendly postman! The elastic bands are tucked into the wound, just poke them into the glued area, with a dab of glue if required and the zip should hold them. These bits of band look like nasty gristly bits

Add blood to the tissue and let it soak in, any inaccuracies with your wax work can be covered up with a splurge of blood. Let the blood run from the bottom of the wound, the more blood you add the further it will run, so add a little and them wait until it has run its course, then add some more.
When you want to remove the wound take cotton wool soaked in the spirit gum remover and GENTLY work along under the would until the glue has loosened. Re-apply the glue remover until there are no traces of glue left. Moisturiser will loosen the wax on the skin and then wash thoroughly with soap and water.
