What looks inspire our staff?
This is a great way to get to know some of our costume staff! If you are thinking about hiring a costume and are looking for some inspiration what better place to start than the outfits that inspire our Costumiers? We asked 5 of our staff to pick two costumes each.

Sarah joined Angels eleven years ago starting as a trainee costumier and now runs our corporate department at Shaftesbury Avenue, dressing all, from events, fashion shoots to TV and film productions.

My favorites are our Pirates, made popular by the four films. Adorned in sashes, baldricks and other accessories tells a story about the character and their experiences, stolen items and keepsakes adding a subtle depth. Eat your heart out me hearties!

Nothing exudes style and pazazz like the 20's. The flapper costume of the Charleston era perfectly sums this up. The shimmy of tassels, pearls and feathers are sure to turn any gangster's head and you'll become his moll!

Anthony's background and passion has always been costume. He studied theatre and costume design at university then onto BBC costume before joining the Angels team four years ago.

I love the character clothing at Angels and this has to be my favourite costume to put together for a lady. The rough, earthy quality of these costumes makes them authentic yet still really sexy. After all no Wench is complete without a heaving bosom.
One of my favourite male costumes to put together has to be Georgian. It is multi-layered and so different to what our male customers wear today. They quickly get into character and really enjoy the experience of dressing up at Angels.

After studying textiles, costume making and styling, Amy worked freelance on several productions before joining Angels a year ago. Her love of musicals and period film make her ideally suited to her role.

Of all the men's costumes Victorian is my favourite. Beautiful waistcoats are paired with high waist trousers and fitted frock coats giving a silhouette I love. With accessories looks from Dickens' novels to the Mad Hatter can be easily achieved.
Georgian is my favourite style for ladies costume. The sack-backs are made from rich, beautiful fabrics with lots of decoration and detail, from pretty lace sleeves to bows and braid. The accessories really finish the outfit - feather hairpins, extravagant hats, fichouts and little handbags.

I love this period, around the time of the French Revolution; the frilly excess of the Georgian Period is refined into gorgeous coats in dark velvets, white cravats and tight breeches. From Prince Regent, Scarlett Pimpernel to a romantic Revolutionary or the gothic 'Sleepy Hollow' feel.
I love our 'Glam Rock' men's costumes. Lycra all-in-ones, gold tailcoats, shoulder pieces and sky high glittery platforms.
It takes a brave customer to wear an all in one holographic body suit so we have a huge array of safer options.
