Fang Guidelines
Our Custom Fang range is absolutely fang-tastic, many customers have written to us to fang us for such a great product. One of the comments we received (from Jeremy in Willesden) was...
I assumed that they would be complicated to fit, but I decided to give it a go and found it really was simple.
The kit contains fangs, molding powder, hardener, stirring sticks and a handy carrying case that doubles up as a mixing pot; along with makers instructions.

The details here are for our regular custom fangs stocked for the 2009 Halloween Season. This is a guide only; you will need to refer to the details supplied with your teeth as they may differ.
We have only had one or two failures in the fitting of these fangs, when you ask the customer questions it is obvious that they have not read the instructions (sorry boys, but we have never had a woman that could not work them!). There is enough mix to do each tooth twice, so should you get it wrong you can either try again or re-mold over the top of the first layer.

1 Position
Take the fangs out of the package, look in a mirror and slip them on and off your teeth. They are hollow so they will just fall off, so keep hold of them.
Check the front and back, in the best position, once you add the fitting paste you will only get a good fit if you slide them straight up onto the tooth, if you adjust the position whilst molding them the fit will not be as tight. So practice at this stage!
|
2 Mix
Gently twist the ends of ONE capsule and pour the powder from it into the deep side of the carrying case. Tilt the case slightly so that the powder is not spread out. Snap off the bottle top and add 5 drops to the powder, mix with the stick provided for 15-20 seconds, until the mixture is uniform and begins to get pasty. Whilst doing this keep the mix in one small area of the case rather than spreading it out and wasting it.

|
3 Fit
Scoop all of the material into ONE fang, applying it to the front and back inside of the cap as evenly as possible rather than just filling up the cavity in the fang. we have used and illustration from the instructions for clarity. Gently push the fang all the way up onto your tooth attempting to locate the best position in one motion. DO NOT wiggle, adjust or reposition the fang after you push it all the way up. Leave it on for 5 minutes so that it can harden, but do not remove it yet, do not work on the next fang until 5 minutes have passed so that you do not loosen the first one before it hardens.
|
4 Second Fang
With the first fang in place, position the next fang in a mirror. Orient this fang relative to the first so that it has a similar angle and looks natural. After you have practised putting it on accurately follow steps 2 and 3 again.
|
|
5 Removal
The interliner continues to harden even after you have finished fitting your fangs. To prevent them getting stuck to your teeth, remove your fangs to ‘break the seal’ right after you complete the customizing process on both fangs and then you can put them back on. Gently push your lower teeth forward against the backside of the fang tips until you hear a slight click, for clarity we have used an illustration from the makers instructions. Then wiggle and pull gently with your fingers until they loosen up. It may take a minute the first time you remove them.
If desired, trim off the excess material that shows on the front of the fangs with a nail clipper or nail scissors.

6 Finished
Your fangs will now clip on easily, yet fit snugly. They can be stored in the carrying case and used for years!
|
|
Carry case. Clean out the carrying case thoroughly by cracking and scraping the customizing material out. It may take a few minutes to scrape it out completely.
Do not use these fangs over braces, wires, plates crowns or ANY other dental work. Do not use if you have irritated or sensitive gums. All materials are safe for use in the mouth. Fangs are for entertainment purposes only. Never bite anyone with your fangs. To prevent swallowing do not eat, drink or sleep with your fangs on. Don’t wear your fangs whilst using drugs or alcohol.
